I heard of this California harpist on a mixed CD from a friend, and soon after whisked off to buy the CD. Such luck, I found a used copy of her latest (2010). This 3 disk set is a bit hard to break the surface of at first, because each 6 song CD is practically the length of an album! But all 3 CDs are lovely to slip in, while you sit in the sun and sip your tea, watching the pigeons nesting outside. The CD was apparently announced through a cryptic message on the Drag City (record label) website, followed by a link to this comic:
The album itself is a beautiful blend of folk and jazz, and the singing reminds me of a combination of Julie Doiron, Martha Wainwright and Regina Spektor.
